About

Acupuncture Session

Welcome to BLC Acupuncture & Integrative Medicine

Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) focuses on finding the root cause of a disease while treating the symptoms. The ultimate goal of the practice is to find a balance between your complementary bodily forces, known as the Yin and Yang, which affect your wellbeing. Each patient is considered unique and treatment plans differ according to their specific symptoms and the particular balance of elements flowing through their body. This is true even for patients diagnosed with the same disease. TCM has existed for thousands of years and has been empirically proven, over that long period of time, to be effective for treating patients using a variety of approaches, including acupuncture, herbal medicine, dietary therapy, tuina, qigong, cupping, guasha, e-stim, moxa, etc.

At our practice, we have adopted an integrative, modern treatment approach that combines TCM and biomedicine. With the growing interest and demand for acupuncture and alternative medicine services in the healthcare industry, both locally and nationally, we provide patients with a balanced perspective between traditional Chinese medicine and conventional medicine. We offer a variety of treatment modality options that can be successfully integrated with each patient’s current medical protocols and preventive healthcare to achieve maximum health potential and quality of life through Traditional Chinese Medicine, including acupuncture, herbal medicines, holistic bodywork, cupping, guasha, e-stim, and facial rejuvenation. Balancing the Yin and Yang is as much a physical exercise as a mental one. Being healthy means that one’s physical and mental states are free from disease and sickness. Balancing one’s bodily energies can have a powerful effect on your life and enable your body to better fight external ailments and stresses caused by pathogens, pollution, environmental factors, social burdens, etc.

Our goal is to become your companion and guide you through the steps of balancing your Yin and Yang in order to maintain your physical and mental wellbeing. In modern society, our lives are busier and more complex than ever before, yet we feel increasingly socially isolated as a result of technology. At our practice, we would like to become lifelong friends who genuinely listen to and care about you. We think it is important to react to the changes in our society and meet the needs of our patients rather than treating only visible conditions.

We put our patients first and think about what we would do if we were in their shoes. We value "dignity" and always respect our patients as human beings that must be treated ethically, regardless of where they come from or their cultural background. Making dignity a guiding principle means being as helpful as possible and treating everyone fairly. We always try to fully understand and accept any cultural or background differences, so that we can focus on treating our patients and making them healthier.
